Activities

Students will have enough skills to write academic essays. Otherwise, they must go over the paragraph and essay writing material provided in Writing Resources. Essays will follow the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, 7th ed.

In class, students will present the assigned or chosen topics in depth.

After class, students will engage in research either at a library or on line, pursuing points that they feel deserve more thought.

Evaluation

Grades will reflect journal and paper writing, participation in discussions, and exams.
